Four of our best people received recognition as industry high achievers in Insurance Business Australia’s 2019 hot list of ones to watch in the coming year – the highest representation of any company.
Gallagher Chief Executive, Australia, Sarah Lyons led the list which also included National Head of Trade Credit, Surety and Political Risks Racheal Tumelty, National Head of Transport Roz Shaw and Hobart Branch Manager Daniel Quintin. Tumelty and Quintin were both honoured in the 2018 Insurance Business Australia awards, as Specialist Broker of the Year and Young Gun of the Year respectively.
Insurance Business identifies Shaw as a likely leader in the transport insurance sector, and taps Lyons as an expert voice on emerging risks and industry trends.
“I love the fact that you can take something that people perceive as ‘grey and boring’ and turn their thinking on its head,” she is quoted as saying. “Even better when you can lead and nurture a high-performing team to take it to the next level and create an experience for the customer that is highly differentiated and transformational.”
The hot list is limited to “38 key figures who turned up the heat in 2018 and are set for even bigger and better things over the next 12 months”. And as the icing on the cake Gallagher Bassett chief executive John McNamara is featured as the cover story on the magazine, while Gallagher Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer J Patrick (Pat) Gallagher is one of three panellists in an opinion column discussing insurance’s biggest challenges in 2019.
Congratulations to our four outstanding hot list champions for their key roles in ensuring Gallagher is recognised for the points of difference we take pride in: innovation, integrity and service to the communities where the company operates.
