Gallagher Chief Executive – Australia Sarah Lyons is proud to be selected as one of the panellists at the Australian opening of the 2019 Dive In Festival for promoting diversity and inclusion in the insurance industry.
The panel will discuss the impact of inclusion policies at the early evening opening session cocktail function which will be held on 24 September at Doltone House Hyde Park. Attendees are invited to
- consider ways to make an impact
- the business case for diverse and inclusive workplaces
- share inspiration
- discuss practical ideas for bringing about positive change.
The festival was initiated five years ago by Lloyd’s of London and now takes place in 33 countries worldwide, supported by industry sponsors. As the movement grows, this year Bahrain, Indonesia, Nigeria, Oman and Turkey will host events for the first time.
Gallagher is one of the 20 gold sponsors in 2019, and both Lyons and the company’s global chairman and CEO Pat Gallagher have signed the CEO Pledge, committing to creating more diverse and inclusive workplaces.
“At Gallagher we strive to ensure that colleagues can be themselves, grow with us and drive an impact,” Lyons says. “Everybody is important and everyone’s role in the business is important. This approach to inclusion and diversity is part of the Gallagher way of building great things together.
“Putting my name to the CEO Pledge makes a visible commitment towards providing a culture where our people can thrive and succeed.”
Those interested in attending a Dive In festival in their location can register to sign up for events from 11 July via the website www.diveinfestival.com or the festival app available on Android or Apple devices.
