Gallagher broker SA finalist for 2019 NIBA Broker of the Year

July 8, 2019

Congratulations to Kevin Loader, South Australian finalist for the 2019 NIBA Broker of the Year award. Loader joins two other state finalists: Max Cuzzocrea of Maxton and Luke Bettany of Butler and Butler.

Kevin Loader2“After 47 years in the broking profession I feel honoured to hear that I had been selected as a finalist,” says Kevin, who first learned that he had been nominated for the award when NIBA contacted him in March.

He then submitted his CV along with client and underwriter references, and was interviewed by a panel of four judges who chose him as a state finalist.

The Stephen Ball Memorial Award for Insurance Broker of the Year consists of five individual regional awards culminating in a national award announced at the annual NIBA Convention at  the Gold Coast on 1415 October 2019. The contenders are judged on technical knowledge, client advocacy and customer service. The national winners receive all-expenses-paid international business development trips valued in the tens of thousands of dollars.

“I feel privileged to have been nominated for this prestigious award and to be recognised for the work that I do and the continued dedication that I have for my clients and employer,” Kevin says.

In his capacity as a general insurance broker and adviser to medium-sized businesses to large corporations, he says he believes that “my strength has been in the quality of service and technical advice that I provide to my clients”, adding that it is this focus that results in sales performance.

He says that winning the award would mean the most for him in a professional sense, as a major recognition of everything that he has done for so many years. “It would one of the best things that could happen for me over my entire insurance broking career.

“Personally, if I was to win I would be keen to see what the year ahead would bring for me.”

Kevin has been with Gallagher for almost 28 years, through the OAMPS acquisition, and has the good wishes of all his colleagues for the next stage of the competition.

Best of luck, Kevin!
