Congratulations to our two Gallagher winners of the Insurance Business Australia industry awards announced Friday 3 May 2019, Peter Campbell and Zoe Evans.
Campbell won the International Broker of the Year award over competitors from Aon and Marsh, and Evans beat out another Gallagher finalist and the Aon entrant for the international Young Gun of the Year.
"It was a terrific evening and great to see talented brokers being recognised for their contribution to the industry, and the Gallagher name up in lights," says Chief Executive Australia Sarah Lyons, who attended the gala event to applaud our entrants winning their trophies.
“I’m very proud of this achievement – and being recognised in front of my industry peers,” Campbell says. “Having a number of people in the room who have directly supported over me over my 40+ years in the industry made it even more special.
"We are in the relationship business – building trust with our connections and giving them strength – and my long-term relationships have been a significant contributor to my success.”
Campbell believes that what sets Gallagher apart from other brokers can be attributed to two key factors.
- “Our shared value proposition and foundation of our corporate culture, the Gallagher Way, which is reflected in our dealings, both internally – and externally with clients and the insurers.
- “Our industry specialisation enables us to provide in-depth analysis and to design and deliver cost-effective, appropriate solutions that take account of the ever-changing risk and insurance environment within in those industries.”
Evans also says she has a huge sense of pride “that all the hard work that is often seen as behind the scenes is recognised and rewarded, and that everything I do is worthwhile.
“The Insurance Business awards are nominated by our peers within the whole industry and winners chosen by key industry figures, which is an enormous personal and professional achievement as the decision is based on what you do and your perception in the marketplace, rather than just sales results.”
Evans is quick to acknowledge that Gallagher has given her room to grow into a nationally recognised up and comer. “Gallagher offers an environment that nurtures, encourages and rewards success, and provides support from those who have been in the industry far longer than I,” she says.
“I’m constantly learning and treasure the opportunity to connect with people who continue to help me develop professionally.”
The finalists were drawn from a combination of industry nominations by individuals and companies, and research and information collated through Insurance Business Australia’s knowledge and connections.
As the honorees of these national awards, Campbell and Evans are the Australian winners of their respective categories and faced stiff competition for the top accolade.
Finalists are invited to submit information addressing the judging criteria and the submissions are passed on to an independent panel of judges drawn from insurance industry leaders and senior representatives. The judges review the submissions and assign scores to the entries for each category and the finalists with the highest scores are named the winners.
Congratulations to our Gallagher winners!
Whether you are an industry veteran or looking for a change of path, Gallagher could be the right place for you.
